Employment Program at the Newcomer Welcome Centre
Program Eligibility
- Newly residing in Canada in the last 5 years.
- Must be 16 years old or older.
- Must be a Permanent Resident /Open Work Permit holder/ become a CItizen within the last 5 years

Through the collaboration with the Moose Jaw Multicultural Council and Moose Jaw Labour Market Services, this programming is aimed at focusing on the following Employee Dimensions:

Key Deliverables
Moose Jaw Multicultural Council Inc. will provide participants with programming and services determined by a formal assessment of each individual‘s needs. The services will and may include: needs assessment and action plan development. This will be delivered through structured workshops, supplemented by one on one counselling, job placement and/or mentoring opportunities, training opportunities to develop the essential skills needed to achieve success in a labour market.
Also available every summer, there is an Employment workshop program that will run for 2 weeks. The eligibility for this Employment Camp is that you must be between the ages of 16 to 21. The 2 week program will include a job search component and workshops on the following topics:
- Resume writing
- Cover letters
- Job search/ Labour Market
- Interview presentation
- Skills interests
- Employability assessment
- Career planning
