Imagine not being able to read a label at the supermarket or not knowing your way around town. Small, helpful gestures can be so welcoming when you encounter newcomers in your community.
to MJMC: Monetary donations are graciously accepted and used for programs of the Moose Jaw Multicultural Council.
to newcomers in need: Normally, MJMC and the NWC each accept donations of small household appliances, clothing for all ages, baby items, dishes, cutlery, linens, bicycles and ornaments. Items are given at no cost to newcomers clients that arrive in our community. Items must be gently used and in good working order.
MJMC accepts donations for use in our agency's donation rooms (**We are not currently accepting donations. Please see below)
Update - Dec 2015: In light of the outpouring of community support in response to the arrival of Syrian Refugees, all donations of furniture, household goods, clothing, etc. are being managed through the Salvation Army and other agencies. MJMC is not accepting any donations at this time. For info on how and where to donate, please see this helpful infographic.
